This \u201ctraditional\u201d form of combat is said to have originated from Cambodia. Apparently, this form of martial art is said to comprise of \u201c12 techniques\u201d referred to locally as \u201cmae\u201d, \u201c8 door systems\u201d or \u201cfootwork patterns\u201d locally referred to as \u201ctvear\u201d. \u00a0Furthermore, this form of combat involves the use of various weapons.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">a. History\/origin of the Kbach Kun Boran:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Apparently, the Kbach Kun Boran as a form of martial art was based on the concept of \u201c4 elements\u201d consisting of earth, water, wind, and fire. Furthermore, it was created in Cambodia purely as a form of \u201cself defense\u201d. In addition, this form of physical combat essentially comprises of two key components, and they are as follows:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li>12 techniques also known as \u201cmae\u201d and<\/li>\n<li>8 Door systems and footwork patterns<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong style=\"font-size: 1rem;\">b. Weapon used in the Kbach Kun Boran:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">There three types of weapons that are used in this form of martial and they include:<\/p>\n<ol style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<li><strong> Dao: <\/strong>A curved sword.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dambong Veng: <\/strong>A longstaff.<\/li>\n<li><strong> Dambong Bokgatau: <\/strong>Twin sticks.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>c. Technique used in the Kbach Kun Boran and training availability:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In terms of technique, a fighter in this form of combat may use arms i.e. weapons or may even use an unarmed style of fighting. Furthermore, weapons such as a curved sword, a longstaff, and twin sticks are used in the armed form of combat. While, with regards to the unarmed form of fighting, \u201cgrappling\u201d techniques mainly used in wrestling as well as \u201cboxing\u201d skills is made use of by a fighter in this form of martial art.
