Developed using a technology known as \u201cSmart\u201d is an Oceana martial art form known as Unified Weapons Master. This \u201cweapon\u201d based martial art form is said to have originated from Australia and developed by a start-up company known as \u201cChiron Global\u201d. Furthermore, this unique martial art form combines elements belonging to \u201cgaming technology\u201d and \u201ccombat sports\u201d. Additionally, in this martial art form an armor known as \u201cThe Lorica suit\u201d comprising of electronic sensors is used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Apparently, the Unified Weapons Master (UWM) was created by David Psyden and Justin Forsell in the year 2009. Furthermore, it was while Forsell was studying the combat form Krabi Krabong in Bangkok that he thought about creating a weapon based combat system. In fact, Forsell\u2019s intention is backed up by co-founder and CEO of Chiron Global David Psyden who officially commented in the \u201cWired\u201d magazine that \u201cOf the 303 martial arts, about 96 of them are weapons-based. These are fading into obscurity, because there’s no forum where these athletes can compete safely”. In addition, with relation to the development of this combat form Psyden also stated that \u201cOur vision is to reignite interest in weapons-based martial arts that have been practiced and developed over thousands of years”.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The \u201cNon-edge weapons\u201d is mainly used by a fighter in this combat style.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of technique, in this combat form a fighter basically makes use of \u201cstriking\u201d techniques using non-edged weapons to attain victory. In addition, the fighter also wears a suit made up of carbon fiber known as \u201cLorica Suit\u201d. Furthermore, this suit not only protects the fighter but, also comprises of a \u201csensor\u201d that measures the opponents strike position and its impact on the body. As for training centers\/schools, there are none available around the world for this \u201cweapon\u201d based martial art form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
