Created by \u201c5 martial artists\u201d is a North American form of combat known as Kajukenbo. This \u201chybrid\u201d form of martial art is said to have originated from Hawaii located in the United States of America. Apparently, the name \u201cKajukenbo\u201d is derived from the words \u201cKa\u201d which means karate, \u201cJu\u201d which means Judo and Jujitsu, \u201cKen\u201d which means Kenpo, and \u201cBo\u201d which means boxing.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Furthermore, martial artists Peter Choo, Frank Ordonez, Joe Holck, George Chang, and Adriano Emperado were the developers of this martial art form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
According to the cultural history of Hawaii, Kajukenbo was first developed in the year 1947 in the Palama settlement located in Ohau, Hawaii. Apparently, during the 1940\u2019s the Palama settlement had become an extremely violent place to live in. And so in response to the growing violence, a group five martial artists that include Peter Choo, Frank Ordonez, Joe Holck, George Chang, and Adriano Emperado developed a martial art form called \u201cKajukenbo\u201d that could be used effectively on the street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cHands and legs\u201d are mainly used as a weapon by the fighter in this martial art form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In terms of technique, the fighter in this form of combat usually uses moves such as striking, kicking, and throwing. In addition, moves such as takedowns, joint locks, and weapon disarmament are also used. As for training centers\/schools, there are few available especially in the United States of America for those interested in learning this \u201chybrid\u201d martial art form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
