This \u201cbrutal\u201d combat is said to have originated from Philippines in a province called Cebu. Apparently, this style of combat with relation to culture is commonly linked to the way Filipino women generally fight among each other. In addition, this combat form essentially is based on a principle that emphasizes \u201cpain and control\u201d. Furthermore, \u201cbiting\u201d plays a major role in this martial art form.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>a. History\/origin of the Kinamotay: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">According to the cultural history of the Philippines, the country suffered through many wars as a result of which the people realized that they need a form of combat to defend themselves. And so this extremely \u201cbrutal\u201d style of combat known as \u201cKinamotay\u201d which even involved the use of biting was developed as a tool of self defense.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>b. Weapon used in the Kinamotay:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Since \u201cgrappling\u201d techniques are used extensively the weapon mainly used in this form of combat are the \u201chands and legs\u201d of the fighter.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>c. Technique involved in the Kinamotay and training availability: <\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In terms of technique, a fighter basically uses \u201cgrappling\u201d as we all as \u201cmanipulation of nerve pressure points\u201d to overcome an opponent. In addition, this combat form also includes the use pf extremely brutal moves such as \u201cbiting\u201d and \u201ceye goughing\u201d. Furthermore, areas of the body such as the nipple, face, neck, groin, and latissimus dorsi muscle are mainly targeted by the fighter during a bout of Kinamotay.
