the breasts. After skin cancer, breast cancer is the most common cancer diagnosed in women in the United States. Descriptions of the four main stages are listed below, though the specific sub stage of a cancer may also depend on other specific characteristics of the tumour, such as HER2 receptor status.<\/span>\n<ul>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Stage 0:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0Known as ductal\u00a0<\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.medicalnewstoday.com\/articles\/300871.php\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">carcinoma<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0in situ (DCIS), the cells are limited to within the ducts and have not invaded surrounding tissues.<\/span><\/li>\n \t<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><b>Stage 1:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u00a0At this stage, the tumour measures up to 2 centimetres (cm) across.
